Pilates incorporates more than 500 exercises that can be performed on an exercise mat or on specialized Pilates equipment. A Pilates reformer is one of the pieces of equipment that is utilized during a traditional Pilates workout. The Pilates reformer is a machine that utilizes a pully system and spring loaded resistance to provide a more intense and varied workout when compared to mat Pilates. Athletes and active people can greatly benefit from adding Pilates to their training and fitness programs because it will allow for an entire body strengthening workout that simultaneously improves mobility and flexibility.
We recommend that you perform Pilates training at least one time per week to optimize the benefits to your overall sports performance and health.
